Being a tween can be stressful and this past year has been extra challenging. This 4-week program is facilitated by the Bow Valley Family Resource Network and is designed for girls ages 9 - 13. The program encourages participants to get involved in discussions and provides opportunities to practice the skills needed to succeed in school, relationships, and teenage life.
Each week during this 4-session program, the group is guided by one of the following wellness concepts:
Week 1, Head: learn a new skill Week 2, Heart: practice self-love Week 3, Feet: nurture your body Week 4, Community: strengthen your support systems
Pre-requisites: Participants must have appropriate footwear to navigate uneven terrain and be able to engage in 30 minutes of moderate physical activity.
This in-person program is open to all Bow Valley Residents. All supplies are included and this program is free.
Location: Meet at Centennial Park
