Mindful Parent and Youth Workshop

The Mindful Parent and Youth Workshop is designed for youth ages 8-13 and their parents or caregivers. The workshop enhances mindfulness skills and resiliency in participants. Parents and youth will engage in activities together and separately to explore stress management and to build strong family ties.

This workshop covers topics such as:

  • Recognizing physiological responses to stress
  • Body scanning
  • Grounding techniques
  • Quick and easy meditations
  • Benefits of practicing mindfulness
  • Independence and knowing when to ask for help

Equipment needed: Yoga mat or blanket
