Fitness Bookings

All patrons must check-in at the Customer Experience desk upon arrival. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your booking. Payment for drop-in sessions will occur then. There is no fee for patrons with active memberships.

In order to ensure a safe and positive experience with us, please note the following:

  • Designated areas are provided for stretching and use of fitness accessories, such as kettle bells, weights, etc.
  • To help limit irritants that may increase coughing or sneezing, a scent-free policy is in place.
  • Users are expected to clean cardio and strength equipment prior to and after use.
  • Patrons must bring their own mats.
  • Please arrive dressed and ready to use the facility. There is no access to change rooms and there is limited space for your personal items. No bags, coats, or personal belongings are allowed in the fitness rooms.
  • During busy times, please respect the 30 minute limit on cardio equipment and use only one piece of equipment/pod at a time.
  • While anyone is able to book appointments on Monday – Friday, from 7 a.m. – 10 a.m. and Saturday - Sunday 8 a.m. - 10 a.m., we are reducing capacity even further during this time to accommodate vulnerable patrons, such as seniors, those with disabilities, and persons with compromised immune systems.
  • Please note that the minimum age to access the Fitness area with an adult is 13. To access Fitness on your own, you must be 13-15 and have completed a Fitness orientation, or be 16+ years-old.

Pre-book your fitness core class.

Classes are taking place at the CANMORE RECREATION CENTRE. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your booking. Payment for core classes will occur upon arrival. There is no fee for patrons with active memberships. Minimum age to participate in core classes is 16.

Pre-book your Fitness Centre Orientation with appointments available starting November 24.

For Adults new to the Fitness Centre or Youth 13-15 years old wanting to use the Fitness Centre without adult supervision.

During this 1.5 hour appointment a Weight Room Monitor will introduce you to our current Fitness Centre protocols and how to use the various pieces of equipment and accessories safely. Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your booking. There is no fee for patrons with an active membership
