The NL award builds on the fundamental skills, knowledge and values taught in the previous lifesaving awards to develop practical skills and knowledge required by lifeguards. This award is recognized throughout Canada as the standard measurement of lifeguard performance. NL education is designed to develop a sound understanding of lifeguard principles, good judgment and a mature and responsible attitude toward becoming a professional lifeguard.
Pre-requisite: Must bring proof of Bronze Cross, Aquatic Emergency Care or Intermediate First Aid and be 15 years old.
