Home Alone

The Home Alone Program is designed to provide children 10 years of age and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied.
The course material covers such topics as:

  • Establishing a routine
  • House Key is your responsibility
  • Strangers
  • Telephone
  • Emergencies
  • Basic First Aid
  • Internet Safety

Location: Online
Pre-requisites: None. Youth must be 10 years old by Dec 31 of the current year.
Equipment Needed: This class will be run online over Zoom. A link will be sent out before the class date. Please be ready at a computer or tablet with internet access and have a notebook and pen ready. All manual content will be online during the class. Additionally participants will be able to pick up a manual before the class if a paper copy is preferred. Certificates will be available for pick up after successful completion. There will be a break during this class.
