Junior Youth Cooking Club

This course is designed for youth ages 7 to 9 who are interested in learning basic cooking skills and preparing simple, healthy meals. Participants will explore kitchen safety, proper food handling, measuring, and following recipes. Each session includes hands-on experience creating nutritious dishes while developing practical skills that can be used at home. Youth will also learn about making balanced food choices and working cooperatively in a kitchen environment. 
All ingredients and equipment are provided. No prior cooking experience is necessary.

What to Bring: Food storage containers for leftovers, apron and hair ties (If the participant has long hair).

Please note: Meals will not be ready to eat until 3:30 p.m. As this is not a lunch program, please ensure your child is given lunch so they are not hungry during the program.

Dates: Fridays, March 6, April 17, May 15, and June 5 from 1 – 4 p.m.
Location: Scout Hall, 914 8 Street, Canmore

This is a 4-week commitment, participants must plan to attend all sessions.
