Reading Between the Lines

This reading program is designed for youth ages 9 – 12 who enjoy reading and group discussion.
Each participant will read a short story from a selected book prior to each session. Participants will meet to reflect on what they’ve read, explore the themes and characters, and share their perspectives in a respectful and supportive environment.

The program encourages youth to think critically, listen actively, and express their thoughts with confidence. Facilitators will guide discussions and provide prompts to help participants dive deeper into the material.
The goal is to create a space where young readers feel heard, make connections with others, and build skills in communication and reflection. This program is offered in partnership with the Canmore Public Library.
