Bronze Medallion is the first required course to become a lifeguard.
Bronze Cross is the final lifesaving course pre-requisite required in order to prepare candidates for the National Lifeguard qualification.
Bronze Med Prerequisite(s): Bronze Star or 13 years or older.This 35 hour long camp combines Lifesavings Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross awards.

NL education is designed to develop a sound understanding of lifeguard principles, good judgment and a mature and responsible attitude toward becoming a professional lifeguard.
Pre-requisite: Must bring proof of Aquatic Emergency Care or Standard First Aid and be 16 years old.
This is a re-certification to a previously held NL award.
